Parts department was running behind, just got it in the truck and STILL not wanting to start. Really got my hopes up there.
2001 Cummins N14 will not start, engine warning light on.

Check the fuel pressure at the shut down solenoid during cranking. Needs 25psi to start
tommymonza Thanks this. -
How about checking for voltage to the solenoid firsttommymonza, jamespmack and jsnell Thank this.

Does it run today?
-
Sorry I haven’t had time to check the fuel shut off solenoid today, had to dig a pond. Wound up taking the air compressor, charging up the brakes, hooked a chain to it and pulled it away from the trailer and hooked up the international. It might be a couple days before I can get back to it, unless I make it home before dark.jamespmack Thanks this.

Fuel shut off solenoid is at 12 volts, solenoid clicks when wire is touched. I keep thinking it’s a fuel issue...but it turns over exactly 3 times and fires for a second, every single try. I got a good look at the gauges before I shut it off and everything was where it was supposed to be, besides the solid red engine warning light. Is there a low fuel pressure light or would it trigger the check engine light?

The ecm doesn't know fuel pressure. There isn't a sensor. Is the red warning lamp the stop engine lamp or a low oil pressure lamp?
-
Don't rule out fuel lines and pickups.
If you fill the fuel filter does it run at all ? -
Put a hose in a bucket of fuel and see if it'll run that way, so you can narrow it down.
