2008 389 with a 2007 Cummins

So a hood friend of mine owns a 2008 peterbilt 389 but when he bought it 4 years ago the engine went bad and he was offered a 2007 Cummins engine. He’s retiring now and has offered me to buy the truck. Now would there be any issues regarding emissions woth the truck being set up like this?

 

Well it’s a 2008 so should have def, but because it has a 2007 it no longer has it but isn’t classed as deleted as the engine is pretty emissions. I know down in America that if you have a deleted truck most places don’t touch it

 

I’m in Alberta Canada. The engine is in the truck. Has been for 4 years. Had a recent rebuild to. Got all the paperwork for it. He’s a good friend of mine and he’s retiring. He’s been running it down to South Carolina and back for the past 4 years. Well maintained truck. I was just worried it having a 2007 engine would cause problems in the states if I break down
