I TOTALLY 100% agree with you on everything, no "if's", "and's", or "but's" about it whatsoever.
    1)
There are also various other occupations in which this also holds true.
    2) SADLY & UNFORTUNATELY, there are SO MANY down & out people, that many employers use this to their advantage.
    3) One cannot blame a person for trying to pull themselves out of their bad circumstances the best way they know how.
    4) People like myself do NOT set the wages. It is the employers, who employ people like myself, who set set the wages.
    5) I myself have suffered bouts of unemployment in my life, the longest being 11 months. Experiences, such as this, makes one grateful for what he or she has.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

The absolute sheer driving force of our national economy - without truck drivers, our entire national economy would come to an absolute standstill - if not outright be dead.

Over the mountains, through the woods, into the valleys, coast to coast, from sea to shining sea - truck drivers can and do go anywhere and everywhere, every day, all year round.

    1)
Respectfully speaking, have you yourself thought about moving into a different position as that of a dispatcher, or working in any other department as safety, administrative, maintenance, (truck or building maintenance), or perhaps working inside the warehouse or on the loading docks?
    2) These jobs and positions are steady jobs with steady hours, MINUS the dangers & stresses of being a truck driver. Also, you are home every day, (or night), depending upon what your assigned shift hours are.
    3) If your company does not have an open position for you, perhaps you could go to work for another company with its own shipping and receiving department. Again, it would be a steady job or position with steady hours, MINUS the dangers & stresses of being a truck driver.
    4) Again, respectfully speaking, it might not be a bad idea for you to get out of truck driving altogether, due to the stresses & dangers involved with the job.

Good luck to you and your entire family! God bless you and your entire family!
