I have had 2 freightliners and one Volvo.

My Volvo was pure luxury compared to the freightliners. Rode smoother, quiet, and a lot more roomier inside.

There's a truckload of variables to your question.

There are people that can take the best truck money can buy, and turn it into a junk pile in no time.
Others can take a junk pile and make it last a long time.

How you drive, and how you care for your truck are probably 75% of the game.

Freightliner was the nicest riding, best mileage ( with a 500 Detroit) truck I drove, if you can handle the dealers, that is.

Any. Just pick your favorite flavor. Worry about getting some experience 1st. They're all about the same as far as mpg. All will eventually have emission issues, especially if not serviced regularly

This topic has been discussed so many times on here that you can find anything you want about any brand you want. Through it all there’s about one thing nearly everyone agrees on. An International with a Maxforce N13 engine is to be avoided at all costs. Other than that it’s the luck of the draw.

There's some ridiculous engineering and technology in some of those seats. Not just a standard air ride. John deere uses I think a bose or bostrum and they are insanely smooth, like riding in a Cadillac. Heated too. They are self adjusting as well

I've had my eye on one of these for awhile.

Now, this might be a bit much for the beginner.

I’ve owned two 379’s (loved them, miss them every day), a Freightliner classic, which nearly broke me, and now a 579 ultraloft. Needless to say, I’ll never buy another freightshaker or Detroit again. But that’s just my experience.

    Same here
Not sure if I want to spec one or ?

I think a 100”-120” is about the perfect size
had 3 paccar motors and pretty much problem free other than a issue on my last one they’ve pulled decent and with auto they’re lighter which all adds to the bottom line
