Where is everyone #5

The apartment where I am is really nice... lots of space, full size refrigerator, stove, cable tv, wifi, nice bakery/ snack bar downstairs, self-service restaurant 3 walking mins from here, nice grocery market with lots of exotic food, etc... about 7 walking mins from nice beach, etc... etc... etc..
However... I gotta do things in the city of Rio...
And the cheapest apartment I have found so far will cost me much more, and it's 1/3 the size of this one... not sure how close it will be from the market... Oh well....
I don't have a vehicle to go back and forth... and with this virus around... not taking any bus or shuttle vans... people DO NOT practice any safe distancing here....

 

This is the hotel where I am.... old building but really nice... all the walls downstairs and near all the the elevators each floor are pure marble... that is pretty cheap in Brasil...
The bakery/ snack bar downstairs serves all kinds of snacks, sandwiches, pizzas, "salgados", sweets, cakes, breads, fresh shakes, juices, beer, beverages... it's also mini market... they have tables outside and inside, TV on the wall so folks can watch the games, etc...









I like to go downstairs and order a fresh juice... choose 2 or more fresh fruits, they blend it with orange juice or any other fruit... or I order a shake.. any fruits with milk... hmmm wish I could get that at truck stops in the USA....

And for this apartment here... living room, bedroom, kitchen with all cooking utensils, service area, bathroom... R$2.000,00 = less than U$400.00











The apartment I may get in the city of Rio might be less than half of this one for almost twice the price...

 

Sometimes I go visit a couple of friends at the art and craft marked nearby...

 

Who, me ? ....I was getting in position to pass a rubber necker.

Trying to sell some old stones I still have from the times when I used to make jewelry myself... "hundreds" of years ago...

 

I feel like a kid in a candy store at this mini grocery market here... so much variety, so much stuff I can't find in the USA...
