It isn't that they "did away" with the tiered wages, but they are likely hiring in at the top tier. This is important because you wouldn't want to go in with a plan of hiring in to Buffalo at top tier and transferring to Dallas, TX with the expectation that you'll maintain top rate with less than 36m of service.Texas_hwy_287 Thanks this.

The tiers have been removed in Buffalo. All transfers go to the prevailing wage. If a new Dallas driver transfers to Buffalo that driver would go straight to top pay.

It's not uncommon for barns that struggle to attract drivers to hire in at top rate or a tier just below it, but that doesn't mean that the tiered wages are eliminated, because there can easily come a point in time where Buffalo doesn't need to hire in at top rate.
My point wasn't about Dallas drivers coming into Buffalo and going to top rate (why would anyone think that a driver transferring in wasn't entitled to the same benefit as the rest of the barn), it was that a new hire transferring from a top rate barn (like Buffalo is allegedly) to one that isn't (like Dallas) isn't taking top rate with him. Sure, you'll get in at top tier in Buffalo, but if you transfer to Dallas with 12 months of service to the company, you aren't taking top rate with you, which was my point.Last edited: Feb 28, 2021

Understood. Thats why i said removed in Buffalo. We know everything is subject to change at anytime. The rest of your point is common sense.McUzi Thanks this.
