Hello.... does my question not qualify ? I was wondering how the truck selection goes exactly who gets to pick what? and who gets to pick first? Teams or is it a uninformed decision. Is there time to review a Maintenance Record look over equipment before choosing or ?????. Thanks in advance for your answer.

Sorry SoCal... someone else asked me the same question at the same time PM wise and I thought it was you.

You get a list of trucks to choose from the day you select your truck.
    This week 15 people - 15 trucks.
You go out and look at the trucks at the same time no special order for solos or teams.
First one back to the guy with the list of trucks gets the truck of his choice and so on.
There is an inspection sheet for you to go over the truck. You can talk with the maintenance guy... I don't know about the maintenance records, maybe someone else does.

Obviously not everyone gets the truck of their choice right off... as it is kindof like shopping a sale... get there early and be quick... do your homework ahead of time. But I have to believe that JCT would not offer a truck that was not run worthy... that makes no money for the driver and JCT. The first 90 days you are proving yourself to the company... do that and you can upgrade.:biggrin_255:

    I hope this helps.

Old Goat, I've been reading this thread from the beginning but can't remember where your quote is in reference to the road test. I do remember that you said you wife aced it though, always give credit where it is due. However; I have been driving team with my husband at Prime for the past two years. We are now considering coming onto JCT and have been preliminarily approved for the first week in January. We are buying a Volvo and bringing it with it us. MY long winded question is; how was the backing part of the road test? I haven't bothered to back this thing up since I passed my licensce in October of 07. My husband backs and I do laundry in exchange. Should I spend a lot of time practicing between now and then? I really really hate to back! It scares me like crazy.
