Keep dreamin dock smasher. Every company does drop and hook. Its way more efficient than constant live load/unload.

My co does some drop & hook stuff on sheetrock and joint compound. We have to unload it, but it still saves a bunch of time not having to wait and load.

Start looking at what different lanes pay. Pay attention to where your company sends you. If you get stuck sitting for a few days or the dead head you 400-500 miles you wanna avoid those places. Like Denver is a black hole along with florida. That's why single screw runs the road. Going into the north east pays excellent but coming back west or south not so much.

Example. Right now with van freight you can get 3000 or better running the ohio/Indy to the northeast but your lucky to get half that coming back west. Forget about running miles, you want the least amount of miles for the most $$$$.

Go with what freight is paying the best. I was gonna buy a cheap all steel manac 48 but vans are paying better than flats atm. Don't be a rate cutter.

Service service service. I can't stress that enough. If your that guy the broker doesn't even have to call and he knows you'll be there on time no matter what. He'll never forget you.

From the yard all the way down 476 to 276 split only had to grab half a gear on the hills. 12th to 11th. 46k in the box. A guy with a 530 isx loaded right next to me and we both left together. By the top of the hills I'd gain a few truck lengths ahead of him
