www.shedbbq.com. They recently won a national bbq cookoff award on Regis & Kelly. They have several locations now but the one that's about .6 miles from the Highway 57 North Exit off I-10 in Mississippi (near Ocean Springs) is the original and it's the closest to an exit.

Your link is no good for BBQ. But you sure made me hungry.
Try this one http://www.theshedbbq.com/ordereze/intro.html -
Ooops! Glad you straightened that out. Being a wannabe I thought I finally had a chance to help rather than just ask a bunch of wannabe-like questions. And you nailed me! (LOL) Anyway, it (The Shed) really is a popular place and as I mentioned it has gained national attention. I don't know the owners and am not affiliated with them in anyway.
They also host an event called "Shed Fest" every year that features some very well known blues artists and some kicka## regional talent.
Thanks again for catching my slip!

There's a good BBQ joint across from the Loves in Falkville (?) AL, just between Decatur and Cullman. I think the name of the place is The Big House...pretty new place, awesome food, and even better prices.
And then there's the Pig Out Palace in Henryetta,OK....I40 exit 243
Voss Truck Plaza in Cuba,MO off I44 -

the cherokee restuarant in ok. at exit 108 on i40 is a good place to eat.

And pay no attention to the meowing coming from the freezer.Big Duker Thanks this. -
I love the beef flavored cat they serve at those places! -
Some of the best fried chicken I've ever had was in Felton, DE just south of Dover on Hwy 13. Can't remember the name of the joint, but here's the coordinates 38.984699,-75.567473. Little gas station with a few spots and they actually have a shower! Not too shabby either!
Some really good fried chicken at the TA in Albert Lea, MN on I-35 too.
If you're in Hagerstown, MD park at the Pilot or the older stop across the street and catch a cab to the Crazy Horse Steakhouse and Saloon! GREAT steaks and a full bar for those weekend layovers.
Of course the Iowa 80 Steak sandwich is awesome and deserves a mention! There's a little truck stop close to Nashville off 40 x239a Uncle Pete's. Doesn't look like much but the restaurant is nice and their vegetable beef soup is the best I've ever had!
Marion Travel Plaza I-40 x 81 NC has a great restaurant with a very good variety on their menu and they also have two flat panel tv's and you can smoke! The lot probably holds around 10-15 trucks maybe a few more but it's a great stop for a reset or a break.
And of course the Petro in Florence, SC has some of the best Porterhouses you could dream of for the money! They're REAL steaks! Nice and thick cuts and tender mmmm. You can tell I like steak right? Petro steak sauce is great too! As a matter of fact, I'm about tear into a ribeye shortly. If I can think of more i'll post em!
Oh yeah the TA in Morris, IL has a really nice indy restaurant with some great appetizers!Last edited: Nov 20, 2009

Morris has been my favorite for a long time as far as truck stops.
I did eat at that petro last week though. I had the 12 dollar 20 oz porter house lol.
It was very good and a good cut of meat. Not like the TA gristle steaks.
The buffet that night looked pretty good also. Was seafood night. So king crab legs, fish, shrimp, crawfish etc. I was in the mood for a steak though.
I have been on a search for some good diners and such that have truck parking.
I have tried quite a few that were ok, a few that were bad. When I find a really good one with parking I will post it.2fuzy Thanks this.
