ELD's Needed for Box Trucks?

In my state, anything over 10,001 lbs gvw need to log unless they are operating under the air mile rule.

 

Logs are either intrastate or interstate.

Intrastate I do not believe any state has an ELD requirement, although I heard Texas is working on it.

Interstate is different. It's weight requirement is 10,001 or more.
All CMV's require an ELD unless an exemption for no logs is meet.
1. Ag. Either state or the fed 150 mile rule.
2. Local. The 150 mile radius non cdl or 100 mile/12 hr cdl timecard rule.
3. 8 in 30 rule.If you mostly do timecard you can paper log up to 8 days in any rolling 30.
If you don't meet those exemptions you will need elds

 

When a driver agrees to a load, does the company need to disclose if the receiver wants a truck that is dedicated to that company? and if they do not can you pick up additional loads as long as the load your carrying is not damaged. What's the rule for that?
