Not sure what KW have, but the newer Freightliners have Detroit Assurance 5.0. All of the trucks have the Lytx camera that has the driver facing taped over. If you get several critical events, they will activate the driver facing camera

Finished the training phase and operating on my own now. Aside from a few personality related issues (which you'll encounter anywhere you go in life) i have very few complaints. The complaints i do have are so trivial that they aren't even worth mentioning.

Hey hotrod and sir did you guys get a KW or FL? Any insight on which you’ve preferred driving? I believe I’ve seen Kev say he’s preferred driving the Freightliners. Just curious if anyone else has had a preference. Heard mixed things on the Paccar engines and how they back up.

Hey there. I won’t know until I get back to work, which will hopefully be next Monday. I’ll let you know what I get then.

    Lonesome and RampageGNS Thank this.

Hey @RampageGNS: Let me add what I forgot to put in here earlier, I myself prefer Freightliners. They are easier to put into a tight spot, which there are a few of with the runs I do. The KW’s are ok, the paccar motor pulls ok, but Detroit’s pull better. Than again it’s how the company has them set up.

    Hope this helps you!!

    RampageGNS and JForce28 Thank this.

Thanks man. I grew up loving KW’s especially the W900’s haha. I think the t680’s look nicer, but I can’t let my 8 year old self overtake my brain if they happen to have a choice between the two and the Freightliners are better suited to the regional gig. Appreciate the info.

A small note. KWs have vents on the top bunk. FLs don't.

    RampageGNS Thanks this.

Do you mean for heat and such? Assuming you personally prefer the KW? Or does it not really matter much in your opinion?

For AC. It matters if you will have someone up there. Or if you have something that can be damaged by the summer heat. For example. I have a fridge up there.

    RampageGNS Thanks this.
