Alot of the fleets use the same spec'd tractors, what's good for one is usually good for the other weightwise.

Bingo. They make no attempt to be quiet. And some of their trucks have back up beepers

The drivers will also swap the Bill of Lading for the load in the trailer. The BOL will have the cargo weight. As a rule most companies will have rule that a scale ticket must also be provided for the swap.

If a truck is coming from the east and another is coming from the west they'll usually swap trailers saves sending 2 trucks across the country and gets the drivers home

I scale out anyway. His fuel may have been low and mine is full or he might not care or not know how to slide his tandems properly. Better safe than sorry.

Don't forget to lean on your city horn when exiting your truck to have that loud conversation.

Dont worry about it, english is one of the worst languages, more exceptions than rules it follows.

And then theres regional specific phrasing.

My wife stands "on line" in the grocery store to check out, I stand "in line" she's from new york city, i am not

Thats just a straight up lie there.
Most companies will let thwir drivers eat the ticket if it becomes an issue because they will ALLOW them to scale it, but few (if any) actually require it

You might not want to assume things. The company I work for requires you to scale every load. So yes, when we swap trailers we do give them the scale ticket along with the BOL.

Don't know what companies you worked for, but when I was at Swift and CRE they both required a scale ticket for any load over 34k for a swap or T call.
