Basically, I'm wondering if I can legally change my current address (parent's house) to a friend's address (in the same state) for the purpose of better job prospects, and since I don't intend to come back here. All I'd have to do is change my voter registration address and the address on my bank account. I live in South FL, a lot of companies don't hire beginners around here, and some of the megas don't hire from down here either. I'm mainly looking at Prime, and they won't hire from down here. So, once I'm hired on, I don't plan on ever coming back to my current address. I basically plan to live on the truck and in hotels until I get sick of not having a place, by then I'll be able to afford (rent) my own place. But until then, what are my options if I'm not actually living at the address on my license? I should also mention it wouldn't affect anything financially; I don't own a car or pay for car insurance, don't own/rent property of any kind, taxes wouldn't change, simply would be for the purpose of getting hired.

Sure, you can change your address to your friends address. It's easy to do in Florida.

If you need a rent or lease agreement, just download a blank one off the internet and fill it out.

It seems strangely easy. All I'd have to do is change my address online on my voter registration and on my bank account, and have the voter card and a bank statement sent to his address and get them from him. Those are 2 required/acceptable proofs of residency.

Edit: Actually it looks like I can just change the address online without any documents and pay for a new license...

That's great; easier than I thought. I've lived in Florida, but that was long time ago.

People move to new addresses millions of times per year. Don't forget to fill out a change of address form at: usps.com

I use a UPS box in the area I want to consider for employment. It is a nominal fee to change your CDL address.
