    Sacramento is a magnet for good doughnut shops. We have a great family bakery here in Carmichael, and 2 more within 10 mi of here. Sadly doughnuts are off my menu but a doughnut isn't

    Helping the wife put away groceries caused a WTF moment. I glanced at the nutrition label on a package of bacon. Serving size one slice who actually has only one slice of bacon. I’m pretty sure only one slice is considered keeping kosher.

    I lived in Carmichael for a little while back in the late 80s. There was a bakery I used to stop at on Fair Oaks Blvd I used to stop at. I don't remember their name but they had good stuff.
