statements to verify the time. -
It was 2005. I don't think they need verification. They only check 3 years back. -
Refer back to post 10.. They may only go back 3yrs, but they do require work history for 10 yrs.. I know, my latest job verified my last 3 yrs, but need names and phone numbers for jobs over the last 10 yrs..kickin chicken Thanks this.

Yes, this is true for experienced drivers. A new driver can get by w/ a 5 year work history with certain companies. However, most companies are using 10 as standard hiring procedure as of late. -
The reason they are using a 10 year history is that it is required by the FMCSA rules.

Maybe...In effect in 2010... but some companies are still utilizing a 5 year. -
Been in effect since 1999 and before.
Actual effective date is 4/4/97 -
Obviously for Experienced drivers not for new hires. We utilize a 5 year MVR and just had a DOT audit with no problems.
