When I got mine, it came with GPS, and was just over $100 for everything. I sold that pickup, and put the latest one in my semi. Camera, GPS, polarized lens cover, and hard wire kit was about $130.

He did, plus it doesn't always help. Back shortly after i first got my CDL had a guy up in OR get pissed because i couldn't move over to let him merge due to a van on my side. He started playing this game with me and even though i slowed down he kept at it. So i tried the ol take the next exit and take a pee break trick to try and shake hin. Guy swerved across 2 lanes of traffic to stop in the exit sideways to force me to lock my brakes and stop then threw a brick and smashed my windshield before taking off.

Drivecam captured it all and he was arrested and also got a DUI but May still gave me a written warning for inciteing road rage heh. One of many reasons i burned THAT bridge.

I have a dashcam now. But only last year or 2. Whe I first started driving I had an incident with a tanker in New Jersey that kept cutting me off and brake checking me. This was in rush hour on 80. Maybe he was pissed I was in the middle lane, idk but I think I'd been driving by myself less than a month at this point. Scared the $&<# out of me. I tried slowing but he paced me for miles. Finally he got off. Wish I'd had a cam then.

Are there any cams that are also rear facing?

I caught myself road raging one night coming into Indiana up 94 when a Volvo with a bouncing bungeed light bar decided he was going to ride my azzzz.

Probably to hide the fact from any police that he had no headlights just that light bar.

After a few minutes of speeding up and than slowing down trying to shake him I finally dropped down like I was exiting.

He finally went around me than it was game on. I didn't tail him as close as he did to me but Than I Flicked on my Power of the Sun high beams and preceded to Vaporize him for the next 10 miles until he exited.

Yep. I was being a Dick.

I would have been fired long ago if it was not for the dash camera I have. I am a sucker for paying $500 for the garmin thing at the TA truckstop and now I hear all you other drivers get them for super cheap but I still come out way ahead.

Three times in a 12 month period I got hit by someone either in or from Colorado. All three times they blamed me for it and all three times the camera got me out of any trouble with the company and the law.

I always wondered if the police asked them what happened and they blamed you, then cop seen footage and it was clearly their fault, would they be in more trouble for lying?

One of them was exactly that. I was driving through Texas up 249 in the right hand lane when this Audie pulls out of a truckstop and drives right into my trailer. Did not feel anything and would have kept on going but I see them spinning out into the dirt shoulder.

The sheriff comes out and talks to them then he comes up to me and I tell him exactly what I saw. He gets all pissed off looking and tells me they claimed I merged from the left lane right on top of them.

I then show him the video on the garmin that shows I had been in the right side lane the whole time and you could see them pulling out and driving into the trailer a little bit through the passenger side hood mirror. The thing even showed that I had been doing exactly the speed limit of 65.

After that he said, "all right these folks are getting a ticket now." Where as he would had just let them go seeing that there was no damage to my trailer and the driver side of their car was all torn up. But they pissed him off.

He really liked the dashcam, said it made this part of his job a lot easier wished everyone he had to deal with used them.
