Anyone here have a high mileage ACERT? How has this engine been for you once you got up there in miles?

Dealing on a 04 right now.

    Specs:
    2004 Kenworth W900L
72'' Aerocab sleeper (not the studio package with the extra windows)
    Seattle interior package
    C15 CAT at 475HP
3:70's (At 60 MPH it is cruising at 1300 RPM)
    11R24.5 rubber
    13 speed (RTLO16913A)
    3 quarter lock-ups
    AG 380 Suspension
    1,064,000 KM, I guess about 630,000 miles?

Truck came from a very reputable company in Manitoba, pulled double drops and step decks all of it's life. It had one driver there. Truck already has pick-up ramps installed on the frame, and beacons installed, so saves me that cost.

They want $48,000 Canadian for it.

    Opinions? Thank you folks.

got around 620,000 on mine and just normal stuff. broke an exhaust rocker, had a couple valve springs crack, replaced both turbos, sleeves in exhaust manifold came apart than having to get both turbos replaced again. the second time the turbos got replaced was paid for by cat, said they know about the problem but only fixing as the sleeves come apart. thats all i can think of at the moment.

Would you mind telling me how much it cost you to replace both turbo's? I am really very curious as to the price of that.

For me just the rocker upgrade and the turbo's are original. with some upgrades that I learned on here motor does a great job and mileage is a strong 6.25 to 6.75. 475 with 3:36 rears with LP24.5 and a 13spd. Turning 1300 at 65.I also have a turbo wing on top.

What symptoms were you getting before turbo's went out, only reason I ask is mine started making a kinda rattling noice at high speed's and seem's like nobody can narrow it down, truck run's fine does not lack power or fuel mileage.

first time wasnt any symptoms, i started it up to let it warm up than took off and had no boost. was fine before i shut it off. the second time i kept hearing an odd noise around 20 lbs and finally took it to the shop that changed them originally. took off one turbo and noticed the fins were all chewed up from the sleeves coming apart. both looked exactly the same.
