Me too, had lots of bikes, did track days and even moved 20 minutes from the dragon to be close to it. Then I had a couple bad wrecks and tickets, got off the road and raced enduro for awhile, got hurt even more often and eventually hung it up.

I have no interest in owning a bike anymore. When I'm not driving a rig I really don't want to be on any road.

If I were still living where I lived in CA, I would probably still have a bike.... but here? There is no use in it. In CA I could ride an hour and be at the Pacific Ocean, In two, I could be in the redwoods, In three, I could be at the top of the Sierra Nevadas, in 4 or so, I could be in the desert.. In this region. I can ride for hours in any direction, at it still all the same.

My friend and I were driving home one night and we saw a motorcycle that had rear-ended a flatbed in the dark near our houses. We went back up there on bikes and the policeman said you don't want to be here when we take the sheet off.

I don't why the truck was parked there. It's a major street but not a truck route. If he was taking a break, it was an extremely bad place to do it. Now that I'm driving a truck, I'm always thinking about this incident if I have to look for a spot on a street somewhere.
