“” I know a thing or two about chickens and in my experience that’s to make sure the rooster did his job... before you go to incubate eggs if you want you can take any old flashlight, preferably one that will fit around the diameter of the tip of the egg, illuminate the egg and if the egg is “fertile” you should be able to see a dark spot somewhere on the egg which is uhhh... “fertilizer” Maybe I can be Jame’s main supplier of fertile eggs...
