Do dealers not want my money?

That will make it all the much easier to stand out from the crowd. Just the like drivers that dress like slobs and shower once a month.

 

That's about where it's at. A promise of a 6 to 8 week out build time is likely just to get the sale, real world time is anywhere from 6 months to a year out right now. I ordered a trailer last September, six month build time, should get by March 19th I'm told, maybe. Glad I ordered it when I did though, huge price increase from just last December till now. Buckle up boys, the ride is gonna get a lot rougher....

 

We had that before. That’s nothing new.

 

I can’t get a real quote for a trailer with disk brakes from a place we buy all our trailers.
They are currently sold out. All there slots are filled through October and the salesman was laughing about a customer that just canceled his 10 trailer order. All slots have already been replaced with a new customer before the week was over.

 

Did he say why the customer canceled his order

 

I just bought a new Mac flat. The same exact trailer from the same place my buddy bought his from a year ago. I paid almost $9k more than he did. The salesman said that they already got the memo from mac that starting next month, prices are jumping another 25%! Holy cow!

 

Yes, some option they wanted on there trailers was unavailable ( pushed out again ) till sometime after June. Order was placed in October. He didn’t say what the option was though.
I was talking to he owner while picking up parts. They were supposed to call me on Monday with the quote for disks. That was 4 weeks ago. His sales person was supposed to quote me back in September. All she did was lead me to the website with there in stock trailers. None with disk brakes.
I did get a quote from Mac but I got the feeling that no mater what options I picked the price was going to be the same? Couldn’t get an itemized list of prices. Just a total price. That was back in September too I think and they were thinking April build date?

No one seems to care about a one trailer order. If your not buying at least 10 at a time your bothering them....

 

That way of thinking of them will end up biting them In The back crack farther down the road.

 

That is how it has been for me starting the business. No one wanted to open a bank account, no one wanted to sell me a phone and a plan, no one got back to me for insurance except one guy. My brother is a project manager and he noticed it too. People just don't give a #### right now for some reason.
