Hey car haulers and service techs... What is the best lubricant spray to use on your ratchets and quick releases? I have some stuff that does pretty good and is readily available in our shop. It has a red cap but I forgot to take a picture of it. I wish I had something that would not be so affected by weather and truck washes. I wish the ratchets had grease fittings. They sure work a lot better if you keep them lubricated, I know that!

Grease fitting would be worse because all that grease in there would attract dirt and grime... try out fluid film on ur ratchets ...or some gear oil

Fluid Film has a red cap and I recommend it for the best longevity.

    Great stuff !
A lot of times I use PB blaster to free up the rusty ones and then coat them with fluid film for longevity.

If you are using quick spins, they do have a grease point. The plug comes from Cottrell slightly painted over and are so small I can’t see them without my reading glasses. Take the plug out with a Torx wrench and put a 1/4 zirk fitting in and grease it about once a year.

Where do you find Fluid Film? I've never noticed it any truck stops or auto parts stores.
