Swift or Transam? Got prehires from both also got one from Werner, just tryin to stay away from that big screw I keep hearin about. From what Ive read sofar Swft seems to be the lesser of the two evils. Please educate this wannabe.:biggrin_25514:

Do more homework and don't trust recruiters or pre-hires.

I'd go with Werner before either of those...I've read a lot on here about TransAm not getting folks out of training into a truck for weeks at a time...that is bogus.

For me it would be transam or werner because of what they offer swift. Werner and TransAm have APU's on their trucks and allow inverters. Swift has a strict idle policy over the two as well. Member panhandleflash drives for Transam and he frequents the central forums.

Its what Gashauler said, just didnt know if there was a certain part of the web site that Im missin. From what I have read so far is just to get on with a company keep your nose clean mouth shut, get your year in.

OH, he means do more research.

Don't just take other's words on it, research the companies.

You can certainly read the forums about other companies and you can call them and ask if they're hiring. Then check the forums here.

What I did was to find the companies who hired "newbies" or inexperienced drivers. Then I researched those companies for salary, location, benefits, schools, training, and other issues important to us.

    Maybe that'll help.

Windless1, check the bad company threads here as well as the favorite company threads and then see which company will suit you better in the long run, which one has more to offer you that you need, such as home time, pay, what ever meets your needs more.
