you get 72% of the load. that .85 cpm is over the course of the lease. what you will average over that lease. you can run freight at 1.20-2.00 a mile for a few weeks and make good money w/ good mpg. then you run with freight thats paying .60-.75 a mile for 3-4 weeks and go in the hole because you had to cover fuel and food oh and your 860.00 truck payment. all included you are paying 1250 a week not including your fuel for that truck. a week. thats 4800 a month. it makes a huge difference. remember its .85 cpm average............
oh yeah they put about 40 people through school a week too. thats where the warm bodies come from. -
If you are doing the work of a driver going OTR, then you are putting up with a lot of #### and probubly putting the best face on it that you can.
If you cant give me the money, then I want the praise for a job well done and to watch out for me when I need you. -
Prime drivers usually only know Prime. They dont know the other companies. So they talk ignorance and get defensive. Many times they are getting miles and are super hungry for them and think that all drivers that are not getting the miles have something wrong with them. Like being lazy.

Man, you have your head somewhere where the sun don't shine. It clearly states in the lease that 85-cpm is a guaranteed minimum. And, no, they don't "put 40 people through school a week" - there's a fairly significant washout rate. Considering the company has well over 4000 drivers, you have to have some bodies in the pipeline to keep the bases covered.DirtySideDown Thanks this.

Whiners and drivers with attitudes wont last long out on the road, Ive noticed people on here with 2 years and less commenting BAD on this thread. Get some experience and see what happens.
DirtySideDown Thanks this. -
3200 a month for a 07 century???? 3200?? are you not getting the math? its average. it says it in the lease. i have a copy. i just feel if you want to be a lease op or o/o better to pay for your own stuff. i just thought i was getting ripped off w/ all the restrictions and the freight taking a plummit earlier this year. company drivers are ok there.
