I figure that as $1600 worth of wheels. How many 32's are on the tires and how old are they.
-
32's ? Sorry, no idea what that is.BoxCarKidd and 650cat425 Thank this. -
650cat425 Thanks this.

Only big concern/problem most guys running Cabovers l hear is the crowds they attract and trying to get fuel without someone wanting to have a long conversation with you about your ride!!JoeyJunk Thanks this. -
The last 4 numbers of the DOT number on the tires tell you when it was made. 2016 would be the 20th week of 2016. If they are 8 years old I would figure little value for the tires even if they are all virgins with 20/32.spsauerland Thanks this. -
Your wheel studs will also be to short and your inner Budd lug nuts will not fit. You can spend another $1000 right there real quick.
rolls canardly, spsauerland and 650cat425 Thank this. -
Well, a couple of things. If I am stopped and want to get somewhere, that's where the 15 minutes talking to them disappears. Also, can just tell them to look me up on here. lol650cat425 Thanks this. -
Cab latches are removed, and will be sent out to a company to get rebuilt. Worst case scenario, $500/pop for rebuild on those. New regulator for the window is $400, and then an air leak that needs fixed. Talked to the shop that is working on it, and looking at working something out with them for test running the truck.
In a nutshell, they have some trucks leased on with a couple of companies, and mentioned something about them running mine for a few months to make sure it's road-worthy. I said they could keep everything they make, but they would be responsible for any repairs needed while running it. He seemed receptive to the idea.
The reason for this is because my boss that i currently drive for doesn't want to put my truck on without it being road tested first. But I am not going to lease it on somewhere for 2-4 months, and then leave; that'd be a dick move. This way, he is aware of why they would be running it, and know it would be a temporary thing. If everything works out fine with it, then I'd put it on with my boss.
The shop owner did mention something about paying me, and I mentioned if he was that concerned about it, just put some new tires/rims on it when he gave it back to me, and I'd be happy, but it wasn't necessary.BoxCarKidd Thanks this. -
Thanks for updating everyone on your progress.
Best of luck on your road-testing months ahead of you.
Would be real nice to get tires/rims out of the deal.
If there is pay to be had, take it. Nothing is for nothing;
I re-read last sentence several times, and a dishonest
person could not pay you, and not fit new rubber/rims.
"Here's your truck, thanks a lot."
Make sure - up front - they understand you require one,
or the other, for this deal.
