6309: I believe you mentioned that you run alot of I-5 to and from Lakewood. Do you ever get freight to or from Vancouver, Wa and if so what kind of freight?

Znine, Spokane is a destination city for us. Meaning, freight in not much out. My personal experience on hyw 90 from Missoula to Lakewood, has been very busy. I am in Spokane now on my way to Shearidan. This company allows O/Os and teams who do not want to go west of Missoula on 90 drop their loads in Missoula. Then some one has to repower the load and deliver it to the Kent/Lakewood area. There are Pier 1 loads that come into Spokane. Furniture loads that come in as well. Hope this helps.[/QUOTE]

6309, sounds like a guy in Spokane can at least use home as a truck stop. You know if their 3 man rotation works out good most of the time?

Thanks Lychmob, glad to hear turkey and football for you! Sorry about the hijack post.:biggrin_25511:

    Hey, Lynch (et al),
I'm back on the road. Had to take an extended break so I could go to a Griz-Cat game party. I'm in Lakewood tonight and ready to rock in the morning. I'll be looking for you.

We have a terminal in Vancouver and several customers in the Portland metro.

Thanks for the info 6309. I will be calling them today. Sounds like most people enjoy working there. Hope I can get on, the Ready Mix business is real slow.

Yes, I've been to the terminal. My son lives just a mile or so from it. I'm looking at joing the rat race in the spring and if I get on with W/S, although I'd go OTR, I'll probably be living in the Vancouver area. Was just wondering how much and what kind of freight leaves that area. Any one know? :biggrin_2552:

Dave. Sorry bud, I'm at home now until after T-giving holiday. Hopefully we can run into eachother again soon.

Mooniac. I hauled flour into Vancouver and Talc out of it. Not sure if that's all they do, but those were my experiences. Hope that helps. Again, I'm sure they haul just about everything

Seems like they are hiring alot of driver's. Are they buying a lot of trucks or is the driver turnover high? I was looking to get on with w/s myself but I figger I got to ask the question.
