The scarcity is only going to get worse, add Amazon to that and it gets even worse.
As for rates, the mega brokers are still pushing stupid rates out there, avoid them like the plague.

Good to know that they're putting in the work to gain a foot step in the trailer market here, as of now the market for equipment, especially trailers is controlled by a handful of manufacturers that charge an arm and leg for a flimsy dry van, I almost gave that dealer in Denver a call today but I was too busy and didn't get the chance, I will call them tomorrow and ask a few questions, I'm mainly concerned about parts availability, I will ask about what ABS system they use, axles, suspension, brakes and such, if they're similar to other manufacturers and the parts are interchangeable, I might pull the trigger.

Omaha, NE But can’t sell it, then I would be looking for a new one. It been a great trailer. Besides no payment. I was being sarcastic.

I saw a brand new Freuhauf the other day in NM on I40 and yes it was brand new. I know they went bankrupt in mid to late 90’s. Think Wabash bought the remnants of them. Not sure who makes the new start up.

Same company.
Fruehauf had a branch in Mexico that survived the bankrupcy buyout. The agreement they had with Wabash not to import and sell in U.S. has expired.Blue jeans, slow.rider and jason6541 Thank this. -
Good to know, hopefully they are still well built and quality trailers. Have to keep an eye on them when I am ready to buy. Great Dane is my default. But thx for informationslow.rider Thanks this.

Ding lightbulb just went on.
Lozano is name I was trying to remember.

If anyone is curious about these trailers, this is what the very 1st 2 look like. I saw them Friday in Laredo where I load. They looked decent to me, but I didn't crawl around them. inside had smooth walls and the spare tire carrier is fabricated steel, not some crappy stamped piece.
Blue jeans, Accidental Trucker, mwhjr1988 and 3 others Thank this. -
Why doesn't it have "Glad Hand Seals " ?IH Truck Guy Thanks this.
