Howdy all,
I’m dipping my toes in the car hauling. The trailer I have is a 40’ hotshot with ramps. The ramps are 10’ long when folded out. I know trucks and SUV’s will get up but cars will bottom out. What size aluminum car ramps do y’all recommend I get?
I was thinking 10’
Thanks in advance
What size ramps do you use?

I currently use 8 ft ramps on my trailer and i have issues with some low clearance cars. Just this week I picked up a GMC savana conversion van that has a low bumper and it wouldn't get on the ramps without the bumper hitting the ramps before the tires got on the ramps. I need to upgrade to 10 footers at least but I don't want to start cutting up my trailer to be able to store them. I avoid low cars and I didnt know the savana was a conversion van till I got to the pickup location. Had to load it in reverse and the front bumper almost scraped the street.
Keep some wooden boards or raceramps handy just incase.
