Wow for a bunch of dirty truckers you guys an gals have been great. Got calls from both these outfits today, Trans am said to call back fri about oreantation, Swift says the next class is Dec 13, Werner says call anytime and seems to have the closer open date. Talk about a tug of war, once you think you got one picked out you read somethin bad about them. Texas Nana how do you like swift? Also my daughter really likes your bunny.

Swift told me next orientation isn't going to be until January...each recruiter must have a quota for the month or something...and that was today I was told this as well. I would pick Werner or TA before swift...they seem sketchy to me, but from some of the posts on here TA has had new people waiting weeks and weeks to get their truck...My understanding is Werner has done the same over the summer, even as bad as sending people home after training without a job! I understand that to no longer be the case.

Nana, maybe you can help me out then...I'm going to orientation with Swift in Decatur,ga the 15th of Dec. I'm trying to find out if they have APU's on their trucks and what their pet policy is.

id go with swift or werner...im pretty sure Trans Am has an all automatic fleet so its better to start out using a manual transmission first

Gypsy I don't know about APUs, but I am almost 100% they do not allow pets.

I know they used to allow pets but so many things have changed. I may just have to not let them "see" the pet. I'm wanting to take my shepard as much for company as protection. I'm 5'4", 123 lbs, so hmmmmmm

I also mean to get out and go to the terminals if you can. You gain more information by seeing what they are doing than just calling. You have to do what others are not doing. Everyone calls and applies online and everyone trust recruiters. You've got to breal away from the norm and find the job differently than most.

    Texas-Nana Thanks this.
