JFAULK99, FLs with anything other than Detroit is very rare. drivers walk over when the hood on my 06 is up wanting to know how I got a Cat in it. heres an example for comparison. I bought an 03 Century with a 550 Cat 13 sp for 102,000.sametime a friend got 03 379 475 Cat 13sp for 113,000. in spring of 06 both were sold (not traded) a few months apart. mine with 560k sold for 60,000. his with 590k 71,000. he got his money back but with no gain. my operating costs were lower than his but he is HARD on equipment so hes not a fair comparison. NOT trying to change anyones mind, just relaying my experience. a parts price example, CAC boot clamp at Peterbilt is 11.00. next door at Freightliner its 6.50. I dont buy parts at Peterbilt so I have no other examples. this topic of good, better, best is SO old. buy what you want.the only one who wins or loses is you

I googled it and that one came up.....
I don't see too many C5's anymore.....Those CAT rigs are pretty much the big off-road rigs now....
