I have two stars , both 4900 set backs . One is 2005 with mxs c15 cat , the other uggghhhh i hate to even type it DD15 . The 2005 i parked only because i got a super good price on the 2013 . Well i thought i did.
I have blown the first dd15 to the point that you couldnt even turn the flywheel with a pry bar. I replaced it with another supposedly rebuilt dd15 and have fought with intake valve regression and multiple sensors and quantity control valves and what not . And it has no where near the power my cat has. i dont care what any chart says or who has programming done. My c15 acert will run over any DD and chew it up and spit it out the pipes hands down and not even break a sweat .
I want to swap out the cat into my 2013 . Am i into changing out all the electronics inside as well ?
There is no place to buy custom harnesses anymore. They have closed down due to covid and all other kinds of ######## excuses.
I am doing this swap regardless. I cant afford to keep the dd15 going. im at the end of my rope.
The CAT was completely rebuilt at 1.3 million km with platinum kit and only has 200k on it since. Ive never had any problems with the cat .
Does anyone on here have wiring schematics for the 2005 ? mainly the 40 pin connector that goes from the cab to engine .
Im guessing the ecc has to be changed but are there any other modules that have to be changed ?
Any help or insight would be appreciated

Is there anything wrong with the 2005 truck that for whatever reason you’re not driving it?

Also, the 2013 truck is a emissions truck while the 2005 will have no issues with anything emissions related as it’s already installed in a proper year truck.

    Quick Update
After pretty much going blind going through wiring schematics all day from one truck to another it seems as though i should be able to swap ecc units from the donor truck and plug it in to the newer truck harness. they both have same plug configurations for the engine . 40 pin firewall mounted. both trucks have the same plug but different ecc units. i may have to swap some guages and switches but they seem to have the same harness connections. If not i may end up swapping out the complete harness from one truck to another . Im sure it can be done. people have replaced cabs so it must be possible
