How is Watkins-Shepard with regards to idling? Are they as anal about idling as Swift, Knight, and many other companies?

A well-rested driver is a safe driver. Conversely, a poorly rested driver is a dangerous driver. In order to be a well-rested driver, one must be allowed to sleep in a comfortable, properly heated and cooled berth.

It's unfortunate that most OTR companies do not recognize this obvious fact.

Retired, to be honest, it does not matter how comfortable a driver is, or is not in some states you just cant idle. if you do idle, and get a ticket, you, the driver will be 100% responsable for paying that ticket.
tho you can idle the trucks, its not something that ANY company would recomend doing more so of the cost of fuel then the epa rules....plus, idling a truck hurts your fuel milege and will make it difficult to reach the fuel bonus depending on what truck you have.
its not that companies dont recognize the issue you brought up. its that the drivers dont recognize the obvious fact about how much fuel is being wasted even more with the bad econemy..
if your going to chose a company based on their idling policy, i think maybe you should look into another career
