T thought the penalty was triggered by the 3rd time, not 2. But you are required to notify the company with in a 20 days of your infraction. Your boss will probably set your speed to 58 so it won't happen again.

15 over, more likely you’re gone. A self insured company can tolerate it but not small and medium fleets.

AND SLOW DOWN!Mattflat362, Speed_Drums and slow.rider Thank this. -
There is what a carrier will do and what an insurance company will allow. Of this, I have no opinion. In part 383.51 table 2 under this heading
For a second conviction of any combination of offenses in this Table in a separate incident within a 3-year period while operating a CMV, a person required to have a CLP or CDL and a CLP or CDL holder must be disqualified from operating a CMV for --------(1) Speeding excessively, involving any speed of 24.1 kmph (15 mph) or more above the regulated or posted speed limit----- 60 days!
What I have not been able to find out is does this comes from SMS data reported to the FMCSA or if it coming from the states themselves through NCIC once the violations are reported to them. Or maybe both. I don't know if @brian991219 knows!tscottme Thanks this. -
The
Has nothing to do with the SMS data, that is updated way too late for the purposes of 383.51tscottme Thanks this. -

I see it alot, drivers doing 65 and 70 in California. Sooner or later your gonna get popped. I usually would set my cruise at 57 on the Freeways but on two lanes and everywhere else i would go 55 because the local cops will get you.
