I have a VOLVO D13 I SHIFT WITH 600000 MILES. RECENTLY the TRUCK STARTED TO completely LOSE POWER while driving along the road AND JERKS ERRATICALLY when trying to move again, KIND OF LIKE I am PUMPING The accelerator PEDAL LIKE CRAZY. IT ALSO HAPPENS ON CRUISE CONTROL. Also if using the engine brakes they will just shut off and truck will coast to a stop. Sometimes happens when moving off from a stop where the truck will just jerk rapidly as it starts and stops. If gear shift is placed into neutral and accelerator is pressed down the engine just revs up then cuts back out continuously. Volvo agent ran diagnostics and showed clutch and transmission still has good life remaining but a fault showing in the electrical part of the i-shift. I have taken the truck to there workshop where they have been working on it all week but haven’t yet found/ fixed the problem. Has anyone experienced this similar problem before and what was the fix. Thanks
No accelerator response randomly.

Problem solved by Volvo agents, diagnostic showed solenoid or sensor problems in i-shift, the top of transmission was removed and ribbon cable and a solenoid controlling the splitter gear of the transmission was replaced. No problems since.
