The fanboys will buy a Peterbilt hood regardless of what Paccar does to it. Its a status thing.

I had a 79 Eldorado with a digital dash. What piece of Krap. 20 years later my son bought a low milage Florida condo Eldorado with a digital dash.

Yep 20 years later still a piece of Krap .

That dash is discusting... It looks like they just stuck a tablet in there. Seems like all that is good is being ruined nowadays.

I used to love peterbilt Still love the 389 and the classic hoods but After driving some of their newer models their interiors suck. Brand new loud interior trucks with dashes that rattled like crazy. I would much rather have a Mack.

It doesn't surprise me though I used to do contract work at the peterbilt plant in Denton. It amazed me the number of suit wearing yuppies driving Tesla's that work there. Im not saying they are not talented at what they do.. but You could tell these guys had no experience with actually driving a truck. This is the result of that.

Peterbilt Steve still had the analog gauges in stock but not for long. If that's your thing, at least you know where you can go! Overall, I like analog but the new dash doesn't phase me. I'd still pull the trigger on buying a 389 in the future.

That said it is always a comparison between the W9 and 389 and overall PRICE at that time I'm looking!

Personally, I like it other than the six gauges around the SmartNav. I think those look a little out of place compared to the rest of the dash, especially when they could’ve been programmed in to the SmartNav.

Just curious, did the 389s you drove with dashboards that rattle have the airride front suspension or no? I have a 389 and its by far the quietest truck I have ever driven....

I drove a friend’s 389 from the tire shop back to his yard, a total of 7 miles. 215k on the truck, air ride steer, 280” WB, and it had more rattles and squeaks than any truck I’ve been in for a while. Once they started with all the plastic interior pieces it was all downhill in my opinion.

Interesting. I have none of that. Maybe I'm just that lucky, IDK.
