Had a bit of chaffing on a ABS wire on my steer axle, replaced sensor then ran new sensor in wire loom and zip tied it to the air line for front brakes, is it legal to have it zip tied against rubber air line or you think DOT will have a fit??
    Thanks

    D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

Maybe I'll find a way to keep them apart.

You might try a hose sepator. Not sure if u could get one small enough to fit the abs wire but i know dot wants to see this between ur hoses so they dont chaffe

For your steer, the ones that were posted above are about right, just run the wire through a rubber hose thats the same diameter

For double cans, look at these, dirt cheap and the wire runs through the small hole

Wires and airlines are clamped and or zip tied to each other all over on a truck. There’s nothing they can say about it.

Have u ever been written up for a chaffed airline that was zip tied together? Because i have... they want to see clamps on them keeping them apart , not tied together where they can rub.

I never have. If they are zip tied well, (overdone) they can’t rub against each other to chaff.

An old length of garden hose works well with zip ties

Every new truck i've ever bought must have been able to be written up. Never had it happen but some here say it's so.

    TheLoadOut and D.Tibbitt Thank this.
