I didn't either but it worked well for me until I retired. And it stopped the wild gyrations at 65 mph without changing SWR. I never put a analyzer on it, but it performed well.

Yeah i totally see its purpose and you see what im aiming for so its why im considering the predator 30..Bugs me though about the ant being a lil heavy(wind blast load wise)and a mid load antenna..

Would this be an option that you might consider? The operator running it knows what he's doing and claimed to have success with it. Less wind load than a 30K.

I have yet to do anything..Weather has not been in my favor to do squat..

Yes to add further mystery to antenna systems! Like you, I'm waiting for better weather to tighten things up!

Courious what he has used as the base shaft..Moveing that coil about 10-20 foward might help some with reflect to..Coulda used a shorter shaft ant was mounted on top part of the mirror arm and also gettin coil further away from the trucks possible reflect..

Well he goes by the handle off 4stringburn. If you notice in the picture he has a motorized ham antenna on the driver's side. He does possess some knowledge regarding this stuff.
Spring has sprung! Time to resort the antenna system!
