I know what you're thinking. And it won't happen.

If you live south of I-40. You pull freight that requires you to run NORTH of I-40.

If you live north of I-40. You pull freight that runs on the southern corridor.

Unspoken rule #1 for hiring a new OTR driver, at the majors.

Find out where he lives, and make sure NO load ever gets him closer than 300 miles.

I believe you been around long enough to know the truth I see. I would still like to find a company that does alot of east to west coast runs instead on alot of 500 mile runs.

Then you're wanting a reefer outfit. Be forewarned though. many of them are now using solo drivers like step children.

They pick up the load...hand it off to teams.

There are a lot that run coast 2coast. John Christner out of Sapulpa, Ok. Prime, out of Springfield, Mo. Kennesaw out of Atlanta, Ga. and many more. But, my friend, you may run coast 2 coast a few times then, suddenly get stuck in a north/south lane or, Chicago 2 Atlanta with long layovers. No guarantees in this biz. Your best chance is to hire on at a company that is located in your home area, assuming that you live on the west coast.
