I have 2016 Pet 579 Mx -13 with this system. It has radar built in bumper. Every time snow or some debris cover it I'm losing cruse. City driving gets me nuts and whole thing makes my work much less safe.
I called some midwest dealerships location to deactivate this piece of crap and they say No.
    Liability reasons.
    Any solution ?

There is a software update to make it less sensitive. Check into that.

On/off/on and then push set to set your cruise will work on some systems. I know it will on the 13-17 Freightliner's and I believe it did on my 16 pete, but I can't remember 100 percent. Its worth a try though.

As far as city driving, dont be in such a hurry and give some space. When you lose it back off some more. Its an adjustment you have to make to your driving style if you're the type who follows close. The dozen or so trucks I have driven with those systems have not given me a lick of trouble in city driving because I naturally manage the space in front of my truck. That's not to say that they have not slammed on the brakes on the open interstate with no traffic in site at 3 am because of a stupid sign or bridge.
