I’m sitting at the Petro in Knoxville My Backs hurting a bit. I put a dash valve on this Truck 10 yrs ago, right here. When I bought it, it was leaking. Swapped parts around someone gave Me, it lasted 6 mos. Put a new one in, it lasted a year. Put this one on , took 12 hrs. fir some reason. My back went out for 2 weeks. Right thigh is still numb. Point is, smart choice. Sometimes they can be a pita. Now since I mentioned it, my 10 yr old dash valve will go out. Lol.
What if it Snows?

Unfortunately I'm thinking Tibbit's future as a weatherman just ain't happening.
Winter is not over, and the carnage on 40 is legendary near Moriarty.
Truck 2 was a day in front of me, and suffered through almost 6 hours of delays. He reported 6 jacknifes, couple roll overs.
I'm at the top of the hill east of Albuquerque. Got a spot at this place that's just a gas station I think.
We have enough coffee in thermos for in the morning.
Good foot of snow and ice on the ground.

Experiencing the 40 in New Mexico during snow one time was enough for me, and I was in a friggin pickup truck at the time. Night time, went from smooth sailing to s-show in one easy step.

Started working at midnight, took 17 hrs to change races, bearings and seal on right front. It was an oily mess. Also checked all the tires, and changed a headlight. Wife’s got the Truck all organized. Somehow found a great parking spot at the TA . Gonna sleep good tonight.

Has the LS safety rating fallen so they are on pull in all in WA?
Driver that was doing some local work up here was complaining about being pulled in every time they roll up on a scale.Rideandrepair, Lucky12, lovesthedrive and 4 others Thank this. -
For the last few days, the rest areas in Bliss, ID. has been a truck inspection station. All CMV’s.
Had about 10 lanes set up. Several state troopers on site as well. I didn’t know that Idaho had that many inspectors.Rideandrepair, 77fib77, Dave_in_AZ and 8 others Thank this. -

Ya' know those tranny air lines we were yackin' about? I bought them at a major Eaton rebuilder in Houston for less than half what the dealer was going to charge me. Then this guy who rents space at my barn for his trucks told me about a mechanic that specializes in Eaton transmissions. They changed out all four lines late yesterday afternoon for a whopping $125. That had to be some of the best money I ever spent.homeskillet, Rideandrepair, Dave_in_AZ and 8 others Thank this.
