I'll bet my paycheck against yours right now, that when it comes to fruition-

    1) Robo brokering happens A WHOLE LOT faster than robo trucks, and
    2) There's a WHOLE LOT less risk to the general public involved.

Let's see who gets removed from the formula first.
    Drivers or brokers.

In fact I'll be making my pitch to Congress soon that with brokers eliminated, just think of the extra BILLIONS of dollars that will go to carriers for better drivers since the wages will be more attractive.
Better, safer, equipment since it will be affordable.
Just think of the jobs created making all those new trucks.

What soccer mom is going to not like this proposal?

Amazing that someone thinks without brokers the shipper will pay the carrier the same amount. They know the broker takes a cut so without them the shipper will expect to pay less. Plus their compliance costs go up and they will want to pay even less.

They can put whatever rate they want on it but they dont determine the market, the carriers do. If the carriers dont accept the load for the shippers rate, then the load doesnt get moved, and the rate will go up until someone is willing to haul it.

There are loads hauled everyday for rates i wont haul for. Unless carriers were to agree on a bottom rate, carriers only set the rate THEY will haul for, not what shippers pay.

Most Carrier s have their logistics department, not any different. Than a Broker, just more fingers in the pie and they drive the rates down.
