Progressive insurance doesn't cover flatbeds?

I have Progressive and I run flatbed. In 3 years I've only had one or two brokers tell me they don't work with Progressive. Just my 2 cents.

 

I never had a problem but the insurance industry changes from moment to moment for their best interests. I would ask them about it. I pulled plenty of tarped loads with progressive. They have given me an excellent price

 

I've been told that once in 6 months. Ran dozens of tarped loads with progressive insurance from other brokers with no problems.

 

I never had a load turned down due to Progressive insurance while running flatbed. The only insurance company I've ever heard of having problems was OOIDA insurance, and that was mostly Landstar brokered loads.

 

I've heard that also, landstar is a pain in the ### to setup with so I never bothered.

 

Flatbed with progressive here....never a issue.

 

The issue may have come from a situation where the driver had told Progressive he was hauling lumber, ended up having a loss when he was hauling OWOH machinery and Progressive declined the claim as they would have charged more if they would have known ahead of time.
