I'm cruising southbound on highway 99 in California near Stockton when I feel a bump against my trailer.
I immediately check the mirror and see a blue Honda backing away from the left side of my trailer DOT bumper.
I was fully expecting the driver of the Honda to pull over and stop as I did, but the driver just kept on going. It seemed like the driver was toying with the idea, but just kept going.
Of course I pulled over and phoned 911.
The CHP officer who took my report chalked the incident up to it being a drunk driver. Never had anyone hit me before.

No damage to the bumper. Just the paint donation is all.

Oh the joys of being inebriated. Hopefully they dont kill anyone. At least for you it was only some transferred paint.

A likely story!

Uninsured most likely. I had a similar incident in Toronto . I reported it to cover my bases officer said it was most likely no insurance or license plus the fact they were at fault.

Had a one ton rear end me a few years ago at a stop light. Didn't do anything to the trailer, wasn't even a scuff mark, the one ton was totaled though, pushed the whole front end in.

I’ve had folks swerve into my lane and bounce off of my truck twice. One of them pulled over, the other just kept on going.

Highway 99 in Cali, more likely that it was an illegal alien than a drunk driver and the cop knows that but is probably programmed to not speak of those things.
Flat Earth Trucker, lovesthedrive and mjd4277 Thank this.
