Cryptic crap. I wont get into a political discussion beyond what I posted. It would just get deleted.

ELD's will get postponed. Companies running Canada only can use Covid as excuse,,,and the costs involved as revenues are down.

Revenues are down because they haul for free. Only way for companies to make a nickle is to put international students to work for $50/wk.

How come carriers are so busy on the US side. I heard that rates are $3.00 and heading to $3.50

    This is from Truck News.

The most significant difference between Canada’s ELD mandate and its U.S. counterpart is the certification process.

The U.S. requires suppliers to self-certify their devices, in an approach that has resulted in hundreds of available products. Canada will require a third-party to ensure ELDs meet related technical standards – covering things like the way data is shared — before the devices can be used here.

Fewer devices are expected to be approved for sale in Canada as a result.

It will be interesting to see which devices will be approved. I bet some of the mickey mouse units like Samsara and Keep Trucking will fail. Only the USA would allow self testing. Ridiculous.

Time to hop in the pre 2000 tractor once June hits... Paperlogs was the only good thing about running Canada only.

You say that - I have seen some messed up logs - like curves / circles - no straight lines ... I appreciate ELDs

Time to buy every pre-2000 truck available. You know somebody will pay $50k for a scrap-heap bound truck just to keep the colouring book.
