Have you ever heard the term...strike three you're out....with 3 preventables, and the 3 terminations are probably related to the preventables, you are going to be hard pressed to find the driving job with anything but a small local company. Maybe dirt hauling or the garbage company, but with the 2+ years out of the trucks this poses another issue.
sorry for the truth, I am sure it is not what you wanted to hear.
Who says I have to go to driving school?

Ya know, I did talk to a driving school recruiter before I joined this forum. He told me his company could have me out on the road making money driving in about 3 weeks. I guess he thought that would get me all tingly about his company. What it really did was scare the hell out of me!! I'm no kid but I think it'll take me 3 weeks before I don't have to wipe every time I crank that bad boy up!!

that is a good thing I have seen way to many that get a couple months under the belt and think they have it all figured out
As being ####y can get you killed being inattentive can get you killed as well as the random bad day can get ya killed
so a healthy respect is a very good thing -
A regular semi is not an LCV which is all part 380 applies to .JustSonny Thanks this.

Really?
just go to school and get the training you need. My post was only meant to say there used to be ways around driving school. Still may be as I did not go to driving school. I'm a good professional driver but truck driving is not that hard. even when I started I didn't think it was that hard. The lifestyle is what seemed hardest to me. The mechanics of truck driving are not that hard.
There are many drivers out there on the road that never went to any driving school and they are good professional drivers. in fact they are probably the best drivers as they are old school (no pun intendedl and show more courtesy on the road than the young skulls coming out now.
I know what the FMCSRs say but that's not what I'm talking about.
Therefore I'm not getting into any debate about them.2fuzy Thanks this. -

I'm older than you but I just feel like saying, "Yes, ma'am".
