So I left Windy Hill to come over to Rosedale. They’re a Canadian owned company with a terminal in Dalton, GA. New CDL grads go with a trainer for 4-8 weeks then start at .48 cpm, six month of experience at .49 and one year gets you .50. 2500-3000 miles a week. If you run to Canada (Winnipeg) you can hit 3000 easily. Drivers get home every weekend or every other. Mostly peterbilts with a couple internationals, APU’s on all trucks. No west coast runs. No cameras in trucks. 75% drop and hook no touch freight. Scales can be paid for with fuel card and you can have dispatch route you to nearest scale. All tolls are paid for by company

First day of orientation was pretty laid back. Just paperwork and JJ Keller videos with the quizzes. Drug test is urine only done in house. 2nd day will be road test and waiting on drug test results to come back before being dispatched out. They rented me a car to drive from Florida and put me in the red roof inn so that was nice. Everyone seem really nice and laid back

Day 2 started with a road test which went well. Safety guy said he was surprised I had only been driving for six months because of how well I shifted and how aware I was of everything. Did insurance paperwork, you get 401K and everything from day 1. Met my dispatcher who actually asked us which areas we didn’t like to run which was surprising. Should be heading out tomorrow after drug test results come back

Good luck TT. Sounds like a good job especially for a newer driver.

Looks like they have a $4500 hiring bonus. Are you eligible for that?
Do they hire from all over or just the southeast?.

I believe they hire from all over but I’m not for certain and yeah I am eligible for the signing bonus. They pay you $1500 on your first dispatched load, 1500 after 30 days and the other 1500 at six months

No it’s not forced. If you have a passport and wanna run there you can other than that they just have you run up to Pembina,ND to do relays with a Canadian driver.
