ITS CHEAP !!!! ask them to send you a snap shot of their load board so you can get a idea of freight in your area. I was finding it to be well below a buck a mile in and out of Co and Az

Yeah it's cheap now. But it's cheap everywhere now.
-
Thats true but not 77-80 cent a mile cheap like I was seeing on the loads they sent me snap shot they sent me
-
Isn't Arizona a hard place to get freight out of? There fore they are going to do it as cheap as possible!
Say No! Stay out of there unless you can get a really high paying load that will afford you to dead head out.
I read a few weeks ago TMC had cut prices at one place to $.65!!!

Anything under $2.00 per mile is cheap once you add up cost of running your truck. 40% if not more of all LS loads don't even make the board so they will never be on any snapshot.
Now is not the time to pull for LS. I'm making more pulling my rock bucket locally and don't run any LS loadS unless they are over two bucks and I can get a back haul.
Hasn't happened for months. Think twice b 4 you pull for LS. Just my opinion right now. -
How r u folks doing?
After reading about LS rates so low I wanted to check the load board.
Ranger JBA 480.981.6096 (12/22 0800 12/29 1400) Cornwal, NY/Hayward CA. 48ft flt. 3710mi. #30,000
I called about this and they said that is was $5000 for the whole run-and I said thank you and hung up. That is like $1.34 a mile or so and I did not ask if that included a fuel surcharge. Not so great.
When you ask about the load, is the price before or after LS takes thier cut? I am not sure what questions I should be asking, when calling the LS board.
Response appreciated. Thanks and Merry Christmas! -
The rate that you see posted on the board is before LS cut.

Are you looking at the BCO Landstar board or the Landstar Broker board? There is a huge difference.
Both boards are posted with rates before the Agent/Broker and Landstar get thier cut.
FSC is paid at 100% of the national average but only to Landstar BCO's and even then it's manipulated to a lower rate that the customer has aggreed to pay.
Hope this helps. -
I tried to get on at landstar, they took about 4 weeks, sent me to get my truck inspected, get a new physical, and a drug screen all of which I had to pay for, the lady at Starqual said it all looked great and then called me back 2 days later and said they were not going to sign a lease with me and refused to give me a reason as to why, Anyone else experience this with them??
