Yes, you better keep a CLOSE eye on that guy!!! Watch you cell phone minutes as well! (can you say Long Winded!) Just Kidding, he's okay for a lefty!
Dabs, I am certain I passed you guys yesterday between Flagstaff and Kingman. Yellow truck looked pretty good with you guys! -
-
only 2 showed up
-
Thanks herkyboy! Honk next time if you see the Big Yeller Bird! I did see at least 3 JCT's in that area so I must have seen you, but didn't know which one would be you.

"Shall I include things like the guy who was asking for money tonight as he "drove" by the parked trucks instead of walking... stopping at each one with a driver???"
HA HA!! thats amazing, probably in a nicer car than we drive. I did have a guy approach me for gas money at a Loves in OK, I kept watching and he climbed in to a late model BMW, 2006-2008ish, payments must be a #####!

11-12
Load from Washington State with 2 pickups going to Winterhaven, FL. 160 MT miles, 2916 loaded miles.
Made both pickups, no lumper fees, scaled and was over gross. Had to return to last pickup and wait overnight. No xtra pay.
11-13 and 11-14
Got weight taken care of immediately, off and running trying to beat the storm that is coming in.
Didn"t beat snow. Got caught in snow in both Washington and Oregon. Did not chain but made it through. Saw a few accidents. Cabbage Patch was good but after that, whoa nelly!!
11-15
Called my Honey and asked her to check Weather Channel and help me decide whether to work my way south from SLC to I-40, or run like the dickens across I-80. Found a hole in the weather and had clear sailing from Idaho, thru Utah and Wyoming. Stayed with the "weather hole" and did not stop till I got into Nebraska. Git "er done !!
11-16 and 11-17
Wagons Ho, continued on and arrived in Winterhaven for delivery, BUT they will not let me deliver early. Come back 2morrow. Bummer dude.
11-18
Made delivery. JCT paid $50.00 lumper fee via EFS check, got my receipt to turn in.
No freight at this time.
Would I like to do some "local work"
Let"s see, sit around and twiddle my thumbs or... Crapola, ok
Picked up a trailer and took it to a shop. Picked up another trailer from a different shop and took it to a customer. BT out. Mileage plus $50.00, hmmm, that wasn"t so bad.
11-19
Did some more local (FL) work, moving mt"s around. Paid mileage plus xtra 50.00 per trailer. Moved 3 trailers, total of 177 miles and filled each of the reefer tanks. Ended up at next day pick up location in Umatilla, FL.
11-20
Picked up load in Umatilla FL going to San Bernardino CA. NO lumper fees.
2428 loaded miles. Load delivers 11-24.
11-21, 11-22
Pretty uneventful days, just like I like them. Nice driving weather, a little rain, not much.
11-23
Most of the day was enjoyable. Truck is running great, getting control of my fuel mileage in this 379. Got it up to 5.3 mpg at 60 mph. I can live with that. Will continue trying to improve.
PrePass flashed red. Got pulled into Banning Scales for Level 1 Inspection. Found something wrong with truck, was not enuff to put me OOS and they let me continue on. Contacted JCT shop, was told if I wanted to come to Sapulpa, JCT would repair truck no charge to me since I have only had this truck for 3 weeks. Guess where I am going? Yep, to Sapulpa for repairs, You betcha!!
Delivered San Bernardino load 1 day early. JCT paid $60.00 lumper fee via EFS check and I got my receipt.
No time left to get another run today.
Camped out in Mira Loma at Farmer Bros Restaurant overnight.
(yummy
)
11-24
Deadhead to Yuma AZ for 11-25 pickup. 223 MT miles.
This load will do two things, 1, get me to Sapulpa for free truck repairs, and 2, gets me thru my house to see my Honey.
11-25
Pickup load from Yuma AZ to Shelbyville, IN. Spent 10 hours at pickup, paid for 8 hours detention.
1913 loaded miles
11-27
Arrived in Sapulpa for FREE truck repair that JCT paid for and got PM and free truck and trailer wash while I was there. Nice job on the wash too!
Left Sapulpa, drove about 200 miles to my house to see my Honey. She fixed me up a Thanksgiving dinner and we celebrated our 20th year anniversery, which was on the 24th of Nov.
1st anniversary I have missed since getting out of USMC. Sorry Honey !! Love Ya LOTS !!
**NOTE**
I did send flowers to her on and she rcvd them on the 24th via JCT and Qualcomm. Did it over the Qualcomm and they take the money out of my settlement.
11-28
Continued on to and arrived at Shelbyville, IN. Checked in with guard, let me deliver early.
Done for the day.
11-29
No loads. Sat all day Sunday.
Took advantage of the time and finished getting my truck set up and put everything away PLUS got to reset my hours for the first time since I left orientation 3 weeks ago.
11-30
Got load from Louisville, KY to Tulsa, OK. 94 MT miles, 749 loaded miles.
Am currently in Louisville waiting to get loaded.
After pickup, I am going right past home again, so will have a late dinner or early breakfast with my Honey and then will continue on to deliver in Tulsa, or drop load at Sapulpa and get another load.

Just a few days of touring this GREAT country which I love !!! With a new company, JCT, that I am liking very much.
***
All tolls were paid by JCT. In FL, or any other state not covered by EZ Pass or Pike Pass (OK), just get your toll receipt and turn it in with your Trip Pak.
***
All lumper fees were paid by JCT. No charge backs to us drivers.
