Great buy. Are you going to use it as the operating system drive or a secondary data drive?

Yes, it's in the MB M.2 slot and I moved the Samsung into a PCIe NVMe card I had. There is a teenage PC builder close to me that I may give the Samsung to later on.

Just a reminder to anybody looking to build. If you are not up on the current tech DO NOT buy a Motherboard OR Processor until you have spoken to somebody that builds. I spent the better part of 5 hours fixing another person's mistake yesterday. To make this short. You can NOT put an Intel Processor on an AMD motherboard and vice versa. If you buy a Ryzen processor unless that processor has a G at the end you MUST buy a graphics card. Most of today's Motherboards are made with no onboard graphics. IF you are wanting to play Blu-Rays you MUST get a video card that can handle it. It's not enough to just buy a Blu-ray disk drive.

LOL you'd think people would get that by now. I've only built one PC so far. Plan on doing it again, soon-ish. But yeah common sense isn't always in people's wheel houses. I always add a graphics card. But I also am building for videos and video games. So I want top notch graphics.

This guy had bought an AMD Motherboard and a cheap Intel processor. Then had installed a Blu-ray drive. What took me so long to fix was trying to track down a Ryzen 4650G Processor. All installed but that extra $300 for the processor busted his build budget a bit. Then I had to go back home and get a Ryzen 2000 series Processor * I had so I could flash the BIOS to F60 so the board would run that Ryzen 4650G. Good friend but gosh did I want to choke him!

    *--and a cheap graphics card!

That's why I don't do tech support unless I'm getting paid for it. Friend, Family, otherwise. Mom is the only exception out of family, cause I build all her machines. LOL

At the risk of morphing the topic, in this case, this person is someone whom I owe more than I could ever repay. More than once I have called him in the middle of the night begging for a ride to the ER. In this case, I am glad I was able to help. BUT, I agree, tech support is like loaning money! DON"T!!!!!!

Found a "deal" and pulled the trigger on a 6800XT. DAAAUUM what a boost even from a 1080ti... Now to find time and play some games. :(

I refuse to pay the new "retail" prices. I'm not buying a mid-range card for over $1000.

I still need to come up with a decent design for the truck that is 1k or less. Total cost. Obviously the case is important. Due to vibration.
