Wake up: 4:00am
...Got up: 5:00am.
Hauling frozen chicken.
Go wash up and grab coffee... do morning check in routine (hubby). Move across the street to get fuel and grab a couple of Wendy's breakfast sandwiches... and we're off!
Today we drove the last leg of this trip (about 500 miles) with the delivery set for the early am hours of Tuesday. It was a pleasant and uneventful, though extremely bumpy drive going through AZ (I-40) and CA (I-40, I-15, HWY 58 to I-5) up to Livermore, CA. We both love the open spaces and the desert so this is always a drive we look forward to!
Lunch was a Subway sandwich we ate on the go... part of my stewardess duties... serve snacks and meals on board so we can keep rollin'.
I attempted some internet stuff, but nothing wanted to work for me, so after a couple of wasted hours I gave up and just enjoyed the scenery and a cup of truck brewed coffee.
Dinner was at Peckos Grill located at Joe's Travel Plaza in Wesley, CA... just a bit south of Tracey. The Garlic Mushroom and Chicken dinner was wonderful and the service was good. Bought an antenna so we can now get some radio stations... woohoo!
A bit of internet surfing, JCT Forum... playing Evony and reading... bedtime is here 10:00 pm central time. Hubby is already fast asleep and I am right behind him!
Total trip miles = 1945.
MPG = 6.1
No Pre-Trip yet.
Night JohnBoy...
