Hello, got my truck back from an overhaul today. Drove it around the town and it was fine. Had about a 25 min highway drive home. Truck totally floored and I could not exceed 65mph. On inclines, it would slow down to 55 or so. Nothing I could do, even on flat ground would get me above 65. It’s not sputtering or missing. Boost seems good. This wasn’t an issue before the overhaul. I never had the truck floored and I’ve run it well into 80.
Truck has a Cat c15 in it.
I don’t know what to make of this.

Do you have boost gauge or fuel pressure gauge? Bobtail? Take it back

Who did the work? If it was cat or a dealership they may have reflashed the ecm.

The settings on the computer were probably changed, take it back to the shop. Tell them what you want the limits too be, ie; max mph, idle time, cruise settings, etc. They should have asked you.

Did shop set overhead correctly? Thats if the shop didn't mess with the ecm like mentioned. Had a mechanical cummins that i had a headgasket replaced. Got it back and it ran like a sick dog. Got the engine overhead readjusted ( valves and injectors) problem solved. I say take it back to the shop or someone better.
